The following areas of service are in need of volunteers. Please contact one of the nominating
committee members (Linda Stem), the church office or one of the deacons (Barry Barnett, Dan Stockton or Hershel
Atkinson,Matt Downey,Billy Beels,Trent Riley).
Budget and Finance Committee: It shall be the responsibility of this committee to consider,
prepare and recommend a unified and cohesive plan ti individual stewardship and a church budget to cover all of the church
operating expenses. The committee will plan and promote the church giving in accordance with the budget.

Personnel Committee: The personnel committee assists the church in matters related to employed
personnel administration. It's work includes such areas as determining staff needs, employment salaries, benefits and

Long Range Planning Committee: The principal function of this committee shall be to study church
and community needs and make advance plans for growth expansion to meet these needs, then present to the church for approval.

Benevolence Committee: This committee shall study the possible benevolent needs to which the
church should minister and then design a plan for the needs and administer the plan. They should determine the criteria
for considering request for aid and be available to assist the pastor in requests made to him. (Jovonne Carter,

Hostess Committee: To make possible the efficient serving of meals which the church leaders
feel necessary for the promotion of the church programs. (Machelle Ferran, Sarah Jamison, Patty Beels,Brenda

Teller Committee: Consists of three (3) people nominated by the nominating committee.
Duties shall consist of counting monies received through Sunday morning, evening and special offerings. Adequate paperwork
will be maintained by this committee. Deposits to be made by a committee member after each service that requires an

Baptismal Committee: To assist the pastor and the candidates for baptism in preparing for the
ordinance of baptism. This committee shall have an equal number of men and women. (Scott Goode/Men, Corinne

Directory: To prepare, compile and present a current church membership directory. A pictorial
directory shall be prepared every 3 years as required by church growth. (Jovonne Carter, Sarah Jamison, Tony

Flower and Decorating Committee: To see that appropriate and adequate flower arrangements are
placed in the church sanctuary for the Sunday services and for special occasions. (Jean Jakes, Nancy Smith,

* Sanctuary * Common flowers for deceased, sent to members, their spouses, their children and parents.
Flowers are to be a green potted plant at a maximum cost of $35.00. * Brothers and sisters of members four (4) Gideon
Bibles given in memorium. * Hospital flowers sent to members only at a maximum cost of $15.00.
Media Committee: The director of library services and staff members shall be nominated by the
church nominating committee and elected by the church. The director of library services shall appoint from the staff
members thus elected directors of audio-visuals, technical processes, circulation and promotion of such others as may be helpful
to provide adequate library equipment as such materials are needed for the proper functioning of the library services.

Property Repair and Management: The purpose of this committee is to initiate and establish supervision
to the maintenance of all church properties. This committee shall plan and maintain the church parking facilities.

Recreation Committee: This committee shall assist in developing a total recreational ministry
for all age groups of the church. (Patsy Stockton) Chair:
Ushers: To help create a friendly, spiritual atmosphere in welcoming and seating the people
and to perform such other duties as are necessary to carry out the service in an orderly fashion. (Wayne Donkin,

Sound System Committee: The principal function of this committee shall be to maintain and operate
the sound system. At least one member of this committee shall be present at each service. (Scott Goode,

History Committee: The history committee is to preserve the historical records of the church.
The committee is especially concerned with gathering and preserving available church records, recording full and accurate
records, and using the records to help members understand and appreciate their heritage and mission. (Patty

Welcoming Committee: Taking care of visitors and absent members. (Machelle Ferran,Daphne

Calendar & Communications Committee: Maintain church calendar, newsletter, web site and various

Cleaning Committee: Rotate with other members to clean church each Tuesday and Saturday.

Trustees: A committee of three (3) trustees (Tony Houk, Jim Jamison, Dan Stockton), will hold in trust
the property of the church. As servants of the church, they have the actual care of the place of worship and general
charge of the administration and upkeep of the grounds and building, transfer any property without a specific vote of the
church authorizing such action. Trustees shall be elected for 1, 2, 3 year terms. The chairman of the trustees,
whome the committee shall elect, shall have general oversight of the property. All new terms of office shall commence
January 1. However, should the trustees be in the midst of business negotiations on behalf of the church at a time when
the terms of office of one or more of the trustees is due to expire and, in the opinion of the committee of the negotiations,
then on the recommendation of the trustees and approval of the church, such trustee or trustees shall continue in office until
negotiations referred to have been completed. This latter provision shall not prevent newly elected trustees from entering
upon their respective terms of office. Meetings may be called by the chairman or the pastor.
